Serious Outlook 2010 Bug

Outlook 2010 has a serious bug that causes data loss in source messages processed with the MAPI RFC Converter. Original SMTP headers are replaced with a simplified version. For most users the effects of this bug will not be noticeable, or at most a minor inconvenience. However, for those working in the field of e-discovery and forensic examination such loss of data is unacceptable. We recommend that these professionals either use an older version of Outlook or turn off the MAPI RFC Converter setting (available through Advanced Options in the Software button menu and through the command-line with the /MapiConvOff switch). We have notified Microsoft of this issue.
