Trial Limitations

When Aid4Mail is installed and run, but is not activated, it operates in trial mode. In trial mode, all features are available but with the following limitations.

These limitations are removed once a license is purchased and the product is activated.

IMPORTANT

When using Aid4Mail in Trial mode, only convert email to target test folders and mailbox files. Since Aid4Mail does not modify or delete your source email, you can safely select existing mail folders and stores during your tests – except for Outlook 2010 users (see warning below).

Outlook 2010 bug

Outlook 2010 has a serious bug that causes data loss in source messages processed with the MAPI RFC Converter. Original SMTP headers are replaced with a simplified version. For most users the effects of this bug will not be noticeable, or at most a minor inconvenience. However, for those working in the field of e-discovery and forensic examination such loss of data is unacceptable. We recommend that these professionals either use backup copies of PST and MSG source files to process, or an older version of Outlook, or turn off the MAPI RFC Converter setting (available through Advanced Options in the Software button menu and through the command-line with the /MapiConvOff switch).
