If you are trying to update the project folder or update a session name and receive errors such as “This path is inaccessible” or “Unsaved”, it might be that you need to update BitDefender’s Controlled Folder Access settings which may be blocking Aid4Mail from making changes to the “Documents” folder. This is probably because you have folder protection settings setup on your machine. You may also receive the error “Undefined Error #6” after starting a session if Aid4Mail does not have access to the Source and Target folders.
Here is how to update the folder access for Aid4Mail in Bitdefender:
1. Open Windows Security, go to “Virus & threat protection,” and under “Ransomware protection,” click “Manage ransomware protection.”
2. If “Controlled folder access” is turned on, click “Allow an app through Controlled folder access” and add Aid4Mail to the allowed list.
We recommend adding the following items from the Aid4Mail program folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Aid4Mail5):
a4m-32.exe
a4m-64.exe
Aid4Mail5.exe
OBridge.exe
PBridge.exe
