Migrating from or to a Gmail account and Aid4Mail suddenly stops processing mail

This happens when you have reached the daily bandwidth limits set by Gmail.

Gmail’s bandwidth limits are as follows:

  • 500 MB per day upload limit (migrating to Gmail)
  • 2500 MB per day download limit (migrating from Gmail)

When Aid4Mail hits these limits, Gmail will not let it continue processing mail.

For more details see the following Google help page: https://support.google.com/a/answer/1071518?hl=en

If you are migrating from a Gmail account, the best solution is to use Google Takeout. Aid4Mail supports Google Takeout and you will no longer need to worry about the bandwidth limitations.

For more information on how to use Google Takeout see the following Google help page: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/3024190
